First edition, first print hardback of LION BOY: THE CHASE by Zizou Corder and published by Puffin Books/Penguin Books Ltd., London, in 2004. Signed by Zizou Corder on the title page. 'Signed Copy' paper band around the book.

The book is in near fine condition (clean green cloth boards and red lettering on the spine) with minor shelf wear to the illustrated dust jacket, which is not price clipped. Internally, the pages are clean and tight, there are no tears and no other inscriptions.

Lionboy, co-written with her daughter Isabel, was Louisa Young's first childrens novel. The original Zizou is Isabel's lizard, only he spells it Zizu. They have written five books together: the highly acclaimed Lionboy trilogy, Lee Raven Boy Thief and Halo.

The second book in the series, Lionboy: The Chase, continues the story of Charlie and the lions, with most of the story set in Venice.
