William Fletcher Shaw TWENTY-FIVE YEARS Double Signed Hardback Presented to the Princess Royal 1954

First edition first print hardback of TWENTY-FIVE YEARS (The story of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists 1929-1954) by Sir William Fletcher Shaw and published by J. & A. Churchill Ltd in 1954. Signed by Shaw and the college president on the dedication page. This copy was presented to Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal (Priness Mary) on the occasion of the college's Silver Jubilee.

The book is in near fine condition (blue leather boards with gilt lettering to ribbed spine and decoration to front) with light rubbing to the top and bottom as well as the edges of the spine. There is some very light bumping to the top corner of the back board. No dust jacket, possibly as issued. Gilt page edges. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
