First folio edition slipcased hardback of CHINGGIS KHAN (The Golden History of the Mongols) translated by Urgunge Onon (revised by Sue Bradbury) and published by The Folio Society in 1993. Previous owner name to front endpaper.

The book is in near fine condition (cloth boards with black lettering to spine) with no significant wear. The book is in a very good+ slipcase that also has no wear to speak of.

Chinggis was a far-sighted ruler and a born diplomat, who understood the wishes of his people and led them skillfully. Between the start of his ascendancy and his death in 1227, not a single one of the generals with whom he built his empire had to be executed - not one of them betrayed him.
