First edition paperback of QUINCY: A Story for Children by Tommy Steele (with Illustrations by Peter Wingham) and published by Piccolo/Pan Books Ltd in 1983. Signed by Steele on the half title page. The front endpaper has been removed.

The book is in very good- condition (mainly due to the missing front endpaper) with light folding creases to the corners. Internally the pages are lightly age-toned but are otherwise clean and tight and there are no other inscriptions.

On the night before Christmas Eve, Quincy, the brave little boy doll, comes to life and sets out alone on a difficult journey to save the lives of the reject toys who lie discarded in the toyshop basement. Climbing stairs as huge to him as massive mountains and facing many unexpected enemies, Quincy must reach Santa Claus on the top floor before he becomes a toy again the next morning.
