First edition, firstprint of the 1952 book by Rebecca Marsh, who was actually a man writingunder several female pseudonyms predominantly in the 1940s, 1950s and1960s. This is the second novel as Rebecca Marsh. The other title is Twilight Star. The writer's real name is (I think he is still alive) William Arthur Neubauer.The book on offer here is quite rare as afirst edition, and has the original dust jacket which is in pretty goodcondition. As well as the usual wear to the jacket, there are a coupleof smallish tears along the bottom, the bigger of the two being at thebottom corner of the spine. The jacket is not price clipped (8s. 6dnet)Internally, the book is in great shape.There are no tears, creases or inscriptions. All of the pages are veryclean and tight. On the front endpaper there is a long rectangularbrownish patch, as though someone has peeled off a label of some kindbut this does not in any way detract from the condition of the book.There is very minor spotting along the top pages edges, but as I havesaid all of the page faces are clean.
