First edition sixth print hardback of LADY CATHERINE AND THE REAL DOWNTON ABBEY by The Countess of Carnarvon and published by Hodder & Stoughton Ltd., London, in 2013. Signed by The Countess of Carnarvon on the title page. With the number '6' on the copyright page.The book is in fine condition (cream cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with a corner fold and 1 centimetre tear in the top corner of page 291-292. The dust jacket, which is not price clipped, is in fine condition and has no wear to speak of. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no other inscriptions.
Lady Fiona Carnarvon, the 8th Countess of Carnarvon married Geordie, the 8th Earl of Carnarvon in 1999, and they acceded to Highclere ten years ago upon the death of Geordies father. Highclere has become one of the most famous houses in England as the location for the PBS series Downton Abbey.
