SXL 6078 Herbert Halm AFTER THE OPERA Vinyl LP WBGr ED1 Play Tested Nice EX

33rpm vinyl LP Record of SXL 6078 Herbert Halm AFTER THE OPERA Piano Improvisations on Der Rosenkavalier and Porgy & Bess, featuring Herbert Halm on piano. It was issued on the Stereo DECCA wideband grooved label in 1963. 'Original Recording By' in the 10 o'clock position. First UK pressing. Uncommon title.

The record itself is graded excellent, with the odd light surface mark visible under normal domestic lighting. Play-tested on an audio-technica turntable. Superb sound quality, with a tiny bit of light background crackle here and there as well as a very occasional light pop/tic. Otherwise very nice playback.

Minimal to no spindle wear. Labels clean. Very light spider marks.

The outer sleeve is graded very good with light handling and storage wear (light rubbing to edges and corners, light ringwear, ink stamp to rear cover). The pinched spine is intact and strong with no loss to the lettering. The original inner sleeve has no wear to speak of.
