SXL 2114 TCHAIKOVSKY PIANO CONCERTO NO 1 Vinyl LP WBG ED1 Curzon

33rpm vinyl LP Record of SXL 2114 TCHAIKOVSKY PIANO CONCERTO NO 1 featuring Clifford Curzon on piano with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Georg Solti. It was issued on the Stereo DECCA wideband grooved label in 1959. 'Original Recording By' in the 10 o'clock position. First UK pressing. Fully laminated, blue back scalloped sleeve, dated 3/59.

The record itself is graded at least excellent, with no more than the odd light surface mark visible under normal domestic lighting. Play-tested on an audio-technica turntable. Superb sound quality, with NO jumps, repetetive ticks or pops and just a tiny bit of light background noise towards the end of each side. Otherwise just about faultless playback.

Minimal to no spindle wear. Labels clean. No discernible spider marks.

The outer sleeve is graded a strong very good with light handling and storage wear (light rubbing to edges and corners). The thin spine is intact and strong. The original heavy paper inner sleeve has no wear to speak of.
