33rpm LP Record of SR 90460 ITALIAN SONATAS (works by Boccherini, Vivaldi, Corelli, Locatelli and Valentini) featuring Janos Starker on cello and Stephen Swedish on piano. It was issued on the Stereo Mercury Living Presence grooved gold promotional label, with 'Promotional Copy - Not For Sale' written on the label itself and also stamped on the back cover. USA pressing.
The record itself is graded very good, with a number of surface marks visible under normal domestic lighting. Play-tested on a USB turntable. Overall superb sound quality, with NO jumps, or crackle and no more than a very occasional soft tick on Side 2. Side 1 has three sections where there are repetitive ticks as follows: 6 near the start, then 12-15 a little further on and finally another 6 or so near the end. Apart from this there is nothing more than an occasional light pop/tick. 98-99% of the record plays faultlessly.
Minimal to no spindle wear. Labels clean. No more than very light spider marks.
The outer sleeve is graded very good minus with some light rubbing to edges and corners and splits to both open corners, probably from the pressure of trying to push the record back into the tight-fitting card sleeve. The spine is intact and strong with a bit of loss to a couple of letters. The inner sleeve has no wear to speak of.
