33rpm 5 LP Record Box Set of ASD 2569-73. Pinchas Zukerman on violin, Jacqueline Du Pre on cello, Daniel Barenboim on piano and Gervase de Peyer on clarinet. Issued on the stereo EMI Records label in 1970. Four of the records have the coloured dog in stamp labels while the fifth has the black and white dog in stamp label. UK pressing. Includes booklet
33rpm 5 LP Record Box Set of SLS 789 Beethoven PIANO TRIOS (ASD 2569-73) featuring Pinchas Zukerman on violin, Jacqueline Du Pre on cello, Daniel Barenboim on piano and Gervase de Peyer on clarinet. It was issued on the stereo EMI Records label in 1970. Four of the records have the first pressing coloured dog in stamp labels while the fifth has the black and white dog in stamp label. UK pressing. Includes booklet.
The records themselves are graded at least excellent, with just the odd light surface mark/hairline visible when viewed under normal house lighting. Play-tested on a USB turntable. Superb sound quality, with NO jumps, repetitive ticks or crackle and just a very occasional light dust pop. Hardly worth mentioning. Otherwise more or less faultless playback.
Minimal to no spindle wear. Labels clean. No discernible spider marks.
The box is graded a bit less than excellent, is clean, intact and quite sturdy, but with the corners discreetly taped possibly because of splits. Nothing at all drastic. The spine has no loss to the lettering. The inner sleeves have no wear to speak of. The booklet has a short folding crease near the bottom spine corner but is otherwise clean and unmarked.
