A Box Set of Two 33rpm LP Records: SLS 5117 MESSIAEN TURANGALILA SYMPHONY, featuring Michel Beroff (piano) and Jeanne Loriod (Ondes Martenot), accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andre Previn. It was issued on the Stereo EMI black and white dog in stamp label, in 1978. Included is a 7-page booklet containing background notes in English. TAS listed.
The records themselves are graded at least excellent, with no visible marks when viewed under normal domestic lighting. Superb sound quality all the way through, with NO jumps, ticks or crackle and only a couple of pops on Side One (to be hyper-critical). Otherwise just about faultless playback.
Minimal to no spindle wear. Labels very clean, no more than the lightest occasional spider marks.
The box is graded a strong very good, with no more than light wear. The transparent inner sleeves have no wear to speak of. The booklet has some age spotting and there are some notes written by a previous owner.
