33rpm Two LP Record Box Set of SET 468-468A Stravinsky THE FIREBIRD Rehearsed and Conducted by Ernest Ansermet, with the New Philharmonia Orchestra. It was issued on the stereo DECCA purple narrowband label in 1970. UK pressing. Includes a 1-sheet insert with background notes on the ballet.The records themselves are graded at least excellent, with no more than the odd light surface mark visible when viewed under normal house lighting. Play-tested on a USB turntable. Superb sound quality with NO jumps, ticks or crackle and just a very occasional light pop. Otherwise more or less faultless playback.
Minimal to no spindle wear. Labels clean. Faint spider marks. Very slight musty smell inside the box.
The box is graded at least very good, with some light wear (bit of rubbing to edges, light bumping to corners). The inner sleeves and insert have no wear to speak of.
