After graduating from Bradley University with a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics, Scott Etters worked at a utility company as a Programmer/Analyst for two-and-a-half years. He then moved to St. Louis to work for McDonnell-Douglas (now Boeing); conducting Artificial Intelligence research. While in St. Louis, Scott acquired his M.B.A. in Finance with the intention of fulfilling one of his dreams - owning a business. When he moved back to the Chicago area, he accepted a position at Argonne National Laboratory while co-founding Odyssey Creations, Inc. in 1992 with his brother, Timm.

From inspirations in his life and personal experiences, Scott began his story of the Dropas. As the story progressed, he realized he had found a new passion in life, that of writing. As the first book neared completion, he decided to publish the book himself so that the story would remain an original of his own creation, while Timm created the art work on the cover. In 1998, they co-founded Perikles Publishing, Inc., the literature arm of their art company.

Scott is working with area schools in an effort to develop Meet-the-Author programs/workshops for area students. Each program will take on a different look, ranging from selected readings to information about realizing one's dreams and taking advantage of the opportunities encountered in life.

Scott plans to promote his book and refine his school and group programs before he returns to writing the second book in the Dropa adventure. His future plans also include developing children's books so the children can "grow up" with the Dropas. Scott is also getting his feet wet in the music business. He is co-producing the soundtrack (same title) for his book with an expected release date of April 2000.

"THE DROPAS: Breaking Through The Walls is a story about courage, determination, belief in yourself and those around you, and breaking through life's barriers to accomplish anything you set out to do. The adventure begins approximately six and one-half years after history's most devastating war took the lives of almost two billion people and destroyed many regions of the globe beyond inhabitation. Two brothers, Scott and Timm, have set out to provide the public with education and beautification utilizing Timm's art. Their service is a result of one of the many provisions outlined in the Survival Treaty, a post-war treaty designed to achieve global harmony. The well-laid plan of the Treaty is progressing better than expected. Many cities have rebuilt their new infrastructures and the quality of life is improving with each day.

One man, however, has a different idea of global harmony, one which focuses on human extinction and redefines 'ozone alert'. Lord Ozone, as he calls himself, is joined by his army of ForLords and their host of unusual weapons in an effort to eliminate the provisions of the Treaty and, ultimately, the human race. Having once been a notable, yet controversial artist, Ozone is all too familiar with the power of art and sets out to bring that power to his side. Unfortunately, for Ozone's sake, he underestimates his adversaries' determination not to live through what many of them had experienced before and during the War. So, sit back, make yourself comfortable, and journey with these two brothers, their assistant Pockets, the GGB liaison Willie, a group of energetic students, and twelve fun-loving Dropas. Together, with secret weapons of their own, they go head to head with the mighty Lord Ozone in an adventure that will captivate your imagination."
