SAN 324 Walton BELSHAZZAR'S FEAST TAS Listed Vinyl LP

33rpm LP Record of SAN 324 WALTON BELSHAZZAR'S FEAST and Improvisations on an Impromptu of Benjamin Britten, featuring the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andre Previn. Also featured is John Shirley-Quirk together with the London Symphony Orchestra Chorus (Chorus Master: Arthur Oldham). It was issued on the yellow stereo EMI/Angel dog in stamp label in 1972. Catalogue number: SAN 324. Listed in The Absolute Sound as a recording of note. Recorded in the presence of Sir William Walton.

The record itself is graded a bit less than excellent, with just the odd light surface mark when viewed under normal house lighting. Superb sound quality, with NO jumps, ticks, or crackle and just a very occasional light pop (perhaps 2-3 on the whole recording, hardly worth mentioning really). Otherwise just about faultless playback.

Minimal to no spindle wear. Labels very clean. Very light (if any) spider marks.

The gatefold sleeve is graded better than excellent, with just very light bumping to corners. The original inner sleeve has no wear to speak of.
