With full numberline 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 on the copyright page. The fourth book in the highly acclaimed Alexander Seaton series.

The book is in very good condition (Clean maroon cloth boards with gilt lettering on the spine) with only minor wear to the illustrated dust jacket, which is not price clipped (light creasing to the edges). Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no other inscriptions.

Shona MacLean might be forgiven for having an identity crisis. After three successful historical thrillers under her own name, MacLean now finds herself being published under the more truncated name of S.G. MacLean. She has a PhD in history from Aberdeen University, specializing in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Scottish history.

The Devil's Recruit, her fourth novel, follows three highly acclaimed historical thrillers, The Redemption of Alexander Seaton, A Game of Sorrows and Crucible. Her latest novel The Seeker will be published in May 2015.
