First edition first print hardback of MINUS SIXTEEN: Photographs by Robin Broadbent and published by Browns Editions in 1998.

The book is in as new condition (black cloth boards with black lettering to front) with no significant wear. The book is in a fine unclipped dust jacket/poster (not priced) which also has no wear to speak of. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no inscriptions.

British photographer Robin Broadbent studied photography before starting his career in London in the 1990s. He currently lives and works in New York where he established his studio in 1999.

Robin Broadbent is a master photographer, sought out for his exquisite still life photographs. An acute knack for identifying and capturing the glancing pro le of an object is part of the character of his work, which abstracts the essence from contemporary brand and fashion advertising and then combines it with the universal photographic language of the 20th century avant-garde.

'Minus sixteen' takes its title from one particularly cold night in Scotland, when the temperature dropped so dramatically it left a bizarre world of shapes, textures and patterns frozen in the surface of a loch.

Unpaginated, 128 pages with black and white photographs throughout.
