Limited edition hardback of TWELVE FOR CHRISTMAS by Robert Finch and published by The Porcupine's Quill in 1982. Signed by Finch on the limitation page located at the end of the book. Number 15 of 150 copies printed.The book is in very good+ condition (grey boards with gilt lettering to front and cloth spine) with very light rubbing here and there. No dust jacket as issued. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
The book is comprised of two parts: the first part is Twelve Christmas Rondeaus on Poets and the second part is a commentary on the popular ring-dance 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. Finch may well be regarded as one of the founders of modern Canadian poetry.
