First edition first print hardback of NO ROOM FOR HEROES by R.J. Gruber and published by Vantage Press in 1972. Signed to a previous owner and year dated by Gruber on the front endpaper. Very uncommon, especially signed.

The book is in very good condition (red boards with silver lettering to spine) with light handling and storage wear. The book is in a very good- unclipped dust jacket which has light creasing and chipping here and there, together with light colour fading to the spine. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

This is not a war story, but it is a story of war, as seen through the author's eyes and through his personal experiences as a British Infantry soldier in the Second World War and what he comes back home to as a returning hero.
