First edition first print hardback of KAPILAR/THE DOORS by Rauf Denktas and published by Tuncabank in 1995. Signed, dated and inscribed to a previous owner by Denktas on the title page. Very rare, especially signed.The book is in very good condition (blue boards) with light bumping to the corners of the front board and light creasing to the head and tail of the spine. The book is in a very good unclipped dust jacket which has light creasing to the edges of both covers and spine as well as the inner flaps. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
The story of doors in Cyprus, profusely illustrated with colour photographs alongside notes and a question and answer from Denktas in both English and Turkish.
