Revised edition hardback of A BOOK OF ENGLISH CLOCKS King Penguin Books Number 28 by R W Symonds, published by Penguin Books Limited, London, in 1950. Originally published in 1947.
The book is in very good condition (Clean illustrated yellow/white boards with black lettering on the spine and front - same as the jacket ) with very slight wear to the dust jacket which is not price clipped (slight creasing to the edges, slight rubbing to the corners and slight chipping to the spine edges). Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no inscriptions.

His King Penguin Book first published in 1947 is now presented in a new, considerably revised and altered form. In approximately half the cases Mr Symonds has replaced plates shown in the first edition by others, either because new and more perfect photographs have become available, or because clocks have, in the meantime, been discovered which need inclusion in his book. The text is altered and extended accordingly."
