First UK edition, first print paperback of MOONWALKER: The storybook - Original Story by Michael Jackson and published by William Heinemann Ltd, London in 1988. Illustrated with scenes from the screenplay by David Newman.

The book is in very good condition (Clean illustrated covers with blue/red & yellow lettering on front and white lettering on spine) with only slight wear (very light rubbing to the edges and a slight creasing line across the bottom corner at the back and last few pages but nothing too drastic). Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no inscriptions.

Michael Joseph Jackson, often referred to as 'The King of Pop' or MJ was an American musician and entertainer.

The seventh child of the Jackson family, Michael Jackson debuted on the professional music scene at the age of eleven as a member of the Jackson 5, and went on to become a pop icon as a solo artist. His successful career and controversial, enigmatic personal life have been a part of pop culture for almost four decades. Jackson dominated pop music from the late 1970s and also popularized physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk, that redefined mainstream dance and entertainment. His distinctive style, dance moves, and vocals influenced a whole generation of hip hop, pop, and R&B artists.

He has been cited as the "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time" by Guinness World Records, and holds the record for the best-selling album ever, Thriller, among 7 more guinness world records.

Michael Jackson received thirteen Grammy Awards (eight on a single night in 1984) and two of his solo albums have been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Jackson charted thirteen #1 singles in the United States, more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 era. In November 2006, the World Music Awards announced that Jackson had sold over 750 million units worldwide and given $300 million to charity, making Jackson one of the best-selling music artists and one of the most philanthropic performers of the 20th and 21st century. While preparing for his concert series titled 'This Is It', Jackson died of intoxication on June 25, 2009, after suffering from cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles County Coroner ruled his death a homicide, and his personal physician was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Jackson's best remembered solo performance of "Billie Jean" gave him his first Emmy nomination. Wearing a distinctive black sequin jacket and golf glove decorated with rhinestones, he debuted his signature dance move, the 'moonwalk', which former Soul Train dancer and Shalamar member Jeffrey Daniel had taught him three years before. In 1988, he released a film called Moonwalker, which is an anthology featuring live footage and short films that starred Jackson and Joe Pesci.

Moonwalker is the story of the movie and includes over 50 full color photographs from the short film Smooth Criminal.

"A Storybook like No Other"

"Michael, Katy, Sean and Zeke are four good friends enjoying a game of soccer when their lives are suddenly endangered by the diabolical Mr. Big, an evil mastermind who kidnaps Katy and is determined to destroy anything or anyone standing in the way of his evil dreams - even Michael. Speeding cars, hot dancing and amazing chases are all part of the fun and excitement of 'Moonwalker'. A movie to remember and a story you'll want to read again and again."

70 pages. Profusely illustrated throughout with colour photographs.
