First USA Edition first print hardback of THE PRINCE OF TIDES by Pat Conroy and published by Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston in 1986. With a full numberline S 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 on the copyright page.

The book is in good condition (Clean quarter bound in blue cloth over grey paper boards, front cover lettered in blind, gilt lettering on spine ) with some wear to the dust jacket which is price clipped (slight creasing to the edges, a 1 - 2 inch closed tear to the bottom corner of the front cover together with some creasing along the bottom edge). Internally, the pages are clean and tight. There is a previous owner's inscription on the front end paper and some foxing to the page ends.

The Prince of Tides is Pat Conroy's fifth book, and the third and most memorable novel. The basis of the hugely successful 1991 movie starring Nick Nolte, Barbara Streisand, and Blythe Danner, directed by Barbra Streisand.
