Pearl Lowe ALL THAT GLITTERS First Edition Signed

First edition, first print hardback of ALL THAT GLITTERS (Living on the Dark Side of Rock & Roll) by Pearl Lowe and published by Hodder & Stoughton in 2007. Signed by Lowe on the front endpaper. There is a long personal inscription on the front pastedown most likely also written by Pearl Lowe. Single '1' on the copyright page. Scarce title, very uncommon signed.

The book is in very good+ condition (black cloth boards with black glossy lettering to spine) in a very good unclipped dust jacket that has creasing to the top of the front and back inner flaps, front and back cover and spine, which also has a couple of very minor indentations to the ridge. Internally, a couple of the pages have corner folding creases but are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

In the nineties when Britpop was in full swing, Pearl Lowe, the lead singer of the indie band Powder, seemed to have it all. But beneath all the gloss and the glamour, Pearl hid a dark secret, which was not only tearing her world apart but was destroying her life.

In this searingly candid memoir Pearl Lowe talks for the first time about her descent into despair, the moment she realised that all that glitters certainly isn't gold and how she chose recovery over losing everything.
