Mungo's first autobiography was written in response to the immense interest shown by those who hear stories of his amazing experiences. The title derives from how he is introduced on set... "This is Mungo - The Cameraman". The book is made up of short stories, ranging from the daring, humorous, sometimes poignant and often moving. It offers the reader a first hand account of the fascinating life and experiences of one who operates behind the camera.

Following the success of this first book, he is currently working on new literary projects. In between filming, Mungo is also a popular public speaker. He is able to create bespoke talks according to the theme required, from inspirational talks to amusing after dinner speeches. Mungo (as he is known in the industry) has filmed popular programmes like 'Pop Idol', 'X-Factor'and 'The Apprentice' as well as documentaries for the 'Lonely Planet Series', 'National Geographical' and many others.

"Paul Mungeam (known in the TV industry as 'Mungo' ) was born in Tonbridge Kent in 1971. From his earliest days he had creativity, sport and adventure in his blood. He also had a love for his fathers video camera! Following school he spent 3 years studying Fine Art in Sydney, Australia, after which he accepted an invitation to hold a second camera for a friend specializing in filming weddings. The rest, as they say, is history.

Over the last ten years he has proved that by daring to take hold of opportunities that arise, you can become a considerable achiever. He has filmed in approximately 50 countries and on every continent. Being a TV cameraman is said to be 'one of the best jobs in the world' as it allows you to travel the world extensively, as well as get yourself in the most extraordinary situations with the most extraordinary people - some of whom become friends for life.

This book is born out of the immense interest that people show when Mungo shares his many stories. Some are sad and some are shocking, but guaranteed some of the tears shed will be in sheer amusemen. As Kate Thornton (TV Presenter) says, "I hope Mungo's sense of adventure and the experiences he's enjoyed during his time as a cameraman travel as well to the page as they do in conversation."
