The book is in very good condition (blue cloth boards with silver lettering to spine and front) with very light creasing and rubbing to the top and bottom of the spine. The top page edges are lightly age spotted and the front page edges are lightly torn, probably during the cutting process. The book is in a very good- unclipped dust jacket which has browned with age along the edges, with rubbing to the corners and top and bottom edges of the spine as well as a fingernail closed tear to the top of the spine and bottom of the back cover. The inner dust jacket has browned with age. Internally the pages have lightly yellowed but are clean and tight and there are no inscriptions.
The Small Miracle tells of the adventures of a little Italian boy whose donkey - his friend and assistant in earning a precarious living - fell sick and seemed likely to die. But the child had faith, and was sure that if only he could take his friend to the tomb of St. Francis, all would be well. He tried and it seemed impossible; but he refused to lose his faith, and after a journey to Rome and an interview with the Pope, the miracle occurred.
