First edition first print hardback of LIBERTY OR DEATH (India's Journey to Independence and Division) by Patrick French and published by HarperCollins in 1997. Signed by French on the title page. Previous owner gift inscription to front endpaper.The book is in very good condition (black cloth boards with silver lettering to spine) with tiny indentations to the top edge of the front board. The book is in a very good- unclipped dust jacket which has light creasing to the edges. Slight browning around the page edges. Internally the pages are otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
