First edition first print hardback of PERCY (The Perspicacious Memoirs of a Cricketing Man) by Pat Pocock (with Patrick Collins and Foreword by Micky Stewart) and published by Clifford Frost in 1987. Signed by Pocock on the half title page.The book is in near fine condition (green leatherbound boards with gilt lettering to spine) with no significant wear. The book is in a very good- unclipped dust jacket which has light creasing and scuffing to the edges. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
Pat Pocock played cricket for Surrey from 1963 to 1986, earning a reputation as a fine off-spinner and a witty raconteur, usually against himself. He played for England on 25 occasions.
