Oliver is published in over nine books, including, Shall we join the Men?, Hitting the Slopes, How to be Asked Again?, Liquid and Larder Limericks, Out of Town and Out for a Duck. Oliver Preston set up Beverston Press in 2005 which publishes and distributes his books, limited edition prints and greeting cards. He is chairman and founder (2006) of The Cartoon Museum in Bloomsbury, London, and set up the Cartoon Art Trust Awards in 1995. He draws Punch and New Yorker style cartoons, many of are in private collections and clubs, including Annabel's, Boodles, The Chalet Blanc in Verbier and The Eagle Ski Club in Gstaad.

"Oliver Preston has turned his wry observations towards winter sports. Meribel, Val DIsere, Gstaad, Courchevel, Zermatt, St. Moritz, Deer Valley, Aspen, Verbier all feature in the lavish colour cartoons. Whether you are a beginner, piste perfectionist, or mountain restaurant gourmet you will delight in these drawings that depict the endearing lunacy of skiers and resort life. Up the mountain, down the piste, and a lavish helping of apres-ski: the stylish cartoons give everyone a chance to laugh at themselves and this popular sport."

'Oliver Preston's cartoons bring a smile to my face no matter how often I look at them. The themes are as achingly funny as the drawings are exquisite.' - Jilly Cooper

'Of all human activities, ski-ing is probably the most suitable for cartoons. The postures are ungainly, the shapes arresting, the perils illimitable, the social activities worryingly cheese-bound, and the opportunities for international misunderstanding are unmatchable. Worse, the gap between the glamorous dream and the aching shaking learner is as high as the Matterhorn. Oliver Preston captures the heartbreaking fascination of this ridiculous sport with quiet viciousness.' - Libby Purves

95 pages.
