Later edition hardback of A DOG DAY (or The Angel in the House) by Walter Emanuel with illustrations by Cecil Aldin and published by Heinemann in 1950. Previous owner name to front endpaper. Small format.

The book is in very good condition (yellow boards with red and black lettering to front board and dog illustrations to both boards, brown cloth spine) that has light rubbing to edges and bumping to corners. The book is in a good unclipped dust jacket that has some areas of loss and is a little tatty, but intact. Internally, the pages are very clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

Narrated by a lovable scamp of a terrier as he goes about his day rolling in mud, eating what he shouldn't, and generally wreaking havoc - all while keeping the Brown household wrapped around his paw.
