The book is in good condition for its age, with wear to the boards, small area of loss to the tail of the spine, weakened hinge - though there are no loose pages. Internally the pages have some sporadic age staining but are otherwise clean and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

 Many of the recipes in this book were new - some even original - at the time of writing and are presented so that any cook should be able to manage them.
