Mike Todd Sarla Mehta BROWN WATERS First Edition Signed

First UK edition, first print hardback of BROWN WATERS, by Mike Todd with Sarla Mehta and published by Langdon Publishing, Swansea, in 1989. Signed by the author Mike Todd on the title page (see picture below). Foreword by Gareth Edwards M.B.E.

The book is in very good condition (clean green cloth boards and silver lettering on spine) with only minor shelf wear to the dust jacket, which is not price clipped (only minor creasing to edges). The front end paper has been cut out. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no other inscriptions.

BROWN WATERS is a modern classic in the tradition of Williamson's Salar the salmon. It is the engrossing story of Tachwedd the sea trout and his struggle for survival aided by Bill the water bailiff. It begins where Salar ended - modern 'high tech' poaching methods are combated by equally sophisticated policing techniques resulting in some hair-raising episodes of crime and punishment on the waterways of West Wales.

BROWN WATERS is a novel for anglers, lovers of nature, conservationists, thriller addicts - and for anyone who enjoys a cracking good read.

256 pages. Illustrated with several black & white sketches and a text map.
