First edition, first print hardback of LANCASTER AT WAR: 5 (Fifty Years On) by Mike Garbett and Brian Goulding and published by Ian Allan Publishing in 1995. Signed 'Best Wishes to Brian (another one!)', located and dated by Garbett and Goulding on the title page.

The book is in very good condition (blue cloth boards with gold lettering to spine) with light rubbing and creasing to the top and bottom of the spine. The book is in a very good unclipped dust jacket that has light creasing to the top edges of the front and back covers and top and bottom of the spine. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

In the 1970s Mike Garbett and Brian Goulding first paid tribute to the Avro Lancaster in Lancaster at War. This pioneering book, which brought together first-hand accounts and historic photographs, was the first of a series of books that helped to keep the reputation of the Lancaster alive. In this, their latest contribution to the series, the authors have again delved into their files to bring a further fascinating selection of stories from those who flew and worked with the Lancaster.
