Limited edition hardback of A BIRD IN THE BUSH by E. Hilton Young (Lord Kennet), illustrated by Peter Scott and published by Country Life Ltd in 1936. Number 486 of 550 copies printed. Signed by Kennet and Scott on the limitation page. Lord Trent family crest sticker to front pastedown.The book is in very good condition (green cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with light rubbing to edges and corners as well as some age related staining. Heavy age spotting to both endpapers, rather less so to the first couple of blank pages, but text and illustrations are unaffected. Gilt top page edges, rough cut fore edges and bottom edges. No dust jacket. Internally the pages are otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
Musings on birds, the English countryside and other related matters. Includes 20 black & white illustrations, a colour frontispiece and 2 other colour plates, each with printed tissue guards.
