UK first edition, first print of LENIN IN ZURICH, by Alexander Solzhenitsyn and published by The Bodley Head in 1976. Translated from the Russian by H T Willetts. The book itself is invery good condition. The dust jacket, which is not price clipped, has some minor wear (rubbing and creasing to the edges, corners slightly bumped but nothing drastic). Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no inscriptions. Last couple of pages have creases in the bottom corners due to them being folded and a couple have short tears in them.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn introduces the central character of his projected multi-volume account of Russian revolutionary history, begun with August 1914 -- Vladimir Ilich Lenin. With incomparable knowledge of the invents and people, Solzhenitsyn explores and clarifies the crucial years 1914-17 and draws a compelling psychological portrait of the man who was the architect of the revolution
