First Folio edition, first print slipcased hardback of TALES FROM TWO POCKETS, by Karel Capek and published by The Folio Society Ltd., London, in 1962. Translated from the Czech by Paul Selver. Illustrated by Karel Svolinsky. It was first published in English by Faber in 1932. This edition is published by permission of George Allen & Unwin Ltd.
The book is in good condition (Blue cloth boards with black line drawing illustration with silver lettering on spine) with some light fading to the spine, and minor foxing to page ends. The pink marbled slipcase is in good condition with some fading to the sides and edges and slight rubbing to the edges and corners. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no inscriptions.
