June Hampson TRUST NOBODY Proof Copy

An Uncorrected Manuscript Proof copy of TRUST NOBODY, by June Hampson and published by Orion in 2006.

The book is in good condition with only minor wear evident (bumping to corners, rubbing to edges, light creasing to spine, longish crease in back cover, but nothing too drastic). Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears and no inscriptions.

It is 1962. Daisy Lane's man, Kenny, is in jail for robbery, leaving Daisy to run the couple's cafe down in Gosport, Hampshire. Daisy lives above the cafe and shares the house with Kenny's older brother Eddie - a handsome, resourceful villain with a streak of visciousness that leads him to commit acts of terrifying violence to get his way. But Eddie has a weakness and it's called 'Daisy'. He loves his brother's wife, but Kenny's not around and Eddie always gets what he wants...

Peopled with characters that leap off the page straight into your heart, and spiced with authentic period detail, Trust Nobody is a tough, gritty and sexy debut - a wonderful and simply unforgettable read.

June Hampson was born in Gosport, Hampshire. She has had many short stories published in women's magazines, and has also published poetry and articles. This is her first novel.
