First edition first print hardback of DISCOVERY ILLUSTRATED by J.V. Skelton & D.M. Wilson and published by Reardon Publishing in 2001. Signed by Wilson on the publication page.The book is in near fine condition (blue cloth boards with silver lettering to spine and decoration to front) with light bumping to the bottom corner of the front board, light creasing to the top of the spine and some light rubbing to the bottom. The book is in a very good unclipped dust jacket which has light creasing to the top and bottom of the front and back covers and spine, along with a two inch closed tear to the top corner of the front cover. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
Black & white and colour photographs, along with some illustrations, from Captain Scott's first Antarctic expedition. The photographs are accompanied by excerpts from journals written before, during and after the expedition.
