First UK edition first print hardback of WE BOMBED IN NEW HAVEN: A Play by Joseph Heller and published by Jonathan Cape Ltd. in 1969. Signed by Heller on the title page. Includes a loose Catch-22 promotional postcard.

The book is in very good condition (blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with some old tape residue near the top and bottom edges of the front and back boards. It has also left some residue inside the front and rear endpapers (see images). The book is in a near fine unclipped dust jacket which has only minor shelf wear. Internally, the pages are otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

'We Bombed in New Haven', Joseph Heller's first book after 'Catch-22', is an extension of his wild and moving vision of man against war. It has both the comedy and the somber power that characterize Heller's writing and It will speak directly to the great number of readers for whom 'Catch-22' is among the most urgent books of that time. The play opened on Broadway in September 1968 and it has been occasionally staged at various venues throughout the rest of the twentieth century and into the twenty-first. It features many of the characters from Catch-22.
