First edition, first print hardback of BIG JOE EGAN (The Toughest White Man on the Planet) by Joe Egan and published by Pennant Books in 2005. Signed with a personal message to a previous owner by Egan on the half title page.

The book is in very good+ condition (green cloth boards with gold lettering to spine) with very light creasing to the top and bottom of the spine. The book is in a very good unclipped dust jacket that has light creasing to the top of the front and back covers and top and bottom of the spine. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

This is the intensely personal life story of one of Ireland's most colourful boxing heavyweights. Big Joe, as he's affectionately known, got his first ring baptism of fire when he fought the then national junior champion Steve Collins. His second fight proved young Joe had come on.
