First edition hardback of THREE MEN ON THE BUMMEL, by Jerome K. Jerome and published by J.W. Arrowsmith. No date given but assumed first edition (1900). Arrowsmith's 3/6 Series Vol. XXXVI. Illustrated by L. Raven Hill.

The book is in good condition (purple boards with embossed text plate to front board) with rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, which is slightly loose, and bumping to corners. The tissue guard is missing from the frontispiece. There is no dust jacket, perhaps as issued. Internally, the pages are clean and pretty firmly in place, with no tears, writing or underlining of text.

Following the popularity of Three Men in a Boat Jerome reunited his now older - but not necessarily wiser - heroes for this picaresque bicycle tour of Germany.
