Jeremy James Anthony Gibson-Beadle MBE was a television presenter, writer and producer. During the 1980s, he was a regular face on British television and in two years appeared 50 weeks of the year. His shows regularly topped the charts beating Coronation Street and EastEnders on one occasion. He was the first mainstream television presenter to have a physical disability. Behind the scenes, he worked as a script doctor on many television shows as well as presenting many corporate events. He died in 2008, aged 59.

"Watch Out, Beadle's about - in this, the hilarious autobiography of Britain's cheekiest star. Here for the first time is the best of a lifetime's practical jokes that have the nation looking for those hidden cameras whenever we begin to suspect that we are being taken for a ride. After twenty-five years making people laugh, one of the most famous faces on television allows his mask to slip as he tells his own story.

Game for a Laugh?

Bob Hoskins, Terry Wogan, Freddie Starr, Matthew Kelly, Bob Monkhouse, Chuck Berry, Muhammad Ali, Rod Stewart, London Villians, members of the Royal family - they all certainly were as Jeremy reveals the behind-the-scenes stories involving celebrity friends and sparring partners, as well as all the trouble he got into in his early careers as telephone salesman, cabbie, rock concert promoter and circus performer - he's even worked as a lavatory attendant. Not for nothing is Jeremy the most sacked man in Britain!

It could be you -

Jeremy talks frankly about his very ordinary origins and the sad side of his life; the disability he was born with, his illegitimacy, his feelings about the father he's never met, and the times in the past he has strayed onto the wrong side of the law. He talks, too, about his early sex life and reveals why he has never married.

You have been framed -

The perils of being in the public eye and his love-hate relationship with the press are here discussed, as Jeremy muses on his philosophy of life and passes on some surprising career advice to youngsters who, like him, have to make their own way. He also reveals many backstage secrets from the TV shows that have made him a household name, Game For a Laugh, Beadle's About and You've Been Framed!

WATCH OUT! is an extraordinary funny and honest autobiography with all the boundless energy and appetite for the unexpected of the man himself."
