First edition first print hardback of ONE MAD SCRAMBLE by Jeannette McFarland and published by Southeastern Printing Company in 1940. Signed to a previous owner by McFarland on the front endpaper. Rare.The book is in very good condition (blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with light rubbing and creasing to the top and bottom of the spine and light rubbing to the corners of both boards. The book is in a poor dust jacket; the front cover and front inner flap have become detached, and there are some small tears and light staining. The top page edges are age spotted. Internally the pages have lightly yellowed but are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.
