"Odd and Elsewhere set off in holiday mood for Wales, where Elsewhere plans to hold a Gathering of Welsh clowns, and Odd hopes to enlist the help of his friend, the Great Bear, in curing Hallelujah's rheumatics. But almost at once events take an unexpected turn, and Odd finds himself faced with two great tasks: to defeat his old enemy, Malevil, and to discover the lost treasure of Wales.

In this, the seventh and final volume of Odd and Elsewhere adventures, all the familiar characters, Hallelujah Jones, Collander Moll, the Great Bear, Mr Goodman and Arbuthnot join forces in the final struggle against Malevil, which unexpectedly results in the achievement of Odd's greatest ambition, and in the joyful victory feast that celebrates his success.

James Roose-Evans' collaboration with Brian Robb throughout the seven books has produced a series in which the illustrator's skilful draughtmanship has matched the author's imaginative character drawing and descriptive writing."
