Ian McEwan SOLAR First Edition Signed

First edition first print hardback of SOLAR by Ian McEwan and published by Jonathan Cape in 2010. Signed by McEwan on the title page. Numberline is 2 4 6 8 10 9 7 5 3 1.

The book is in very good condition (black cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with light general wear to the boards and light age tanning to the pages. The book is in a very good unclipped dust jacket which has light creasing to the edges, a few small indentation marks to the edge of the spine and sticker removal residue on the front cover. Internally the pages are otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

Ranging from the Arctic Circle to the deserts of New Mexico, Solar is a serious and darkly satirical novel, showing human frailty struggling with the most pressing and complex problem of our time. A story of one man's greed and self-deception, it is profound and stylish work from one of the world's great writers.

285 pages including Appendix and Acknowledgements.
