First edition first print hardback of THE BLOSSOMING WORLD: An Autobiography - Volume Two. by H. E. Bates and published by Michael Joseph in 1971. Illustrated by John Ward. Signed by Bates on the title page. Previous owner's name written on the top of the front endpaper.

The book is in very good condition (brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with some fading to the top page edges and very light rubbing to corners. The book is in a very good unclipped paper dust jacket which has light creasing to spine edges and minor rubbing to the top corners, light tanning and a couple of foxing spots inside. Internally the pages are otherwise clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

Following the success of THE VANISHED WORLD, H. E. Bates takes up his life in 1926, when he was twenty and had just published his first novel.
