Frank Muir A KENTISH LAD First Edition Signed

First edition first print hardback of A KENTISH LAD (His Autobiography) by Frank Muir and published by Bantam Press in 1997. Signed by Muir on the title page.

The book is in near fine condition (grey cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine) with no significant wear apart from some age tanning towards the page edges. The book is in a near fine unclipped dust jacket which has very light creasing to the edges. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

For more than wenty-five years Frank Muir, in partnership with Dennis Norden, produced some of the most sparkling and original comedy ever written for radio and television. He recalls in great detail, a happy 1920s childhood, his first joke at the age of six, his schooling, his time in the RAF as a photographer during the Second World War and his eventual entry into the world of entertainment.
