First edition, first print hardback of THE RIVER by Eric Rolls and published by Angus & Robertson (Sydney) in 1974. Signed by Rolls on the title page.The book is in very good condition (grey cloth boards with white lettering to spine and front) with light creasing and rubbing to the top and bottom of the spine as well as light bumping to the top corner of the front board. The book is in a good unclipped dust jacket with rubbing and light creasing along the edges and corners of both covers and spine with the inner flaps very slightly sticky where the laminate has peeled off the dust jacket. Internally, the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions, though there is a slight musty odour.
