The book is in a fine unclipped dust jacket which is in a removable protective sleeve and also has no wear to speak of. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

It was translated into 23 languages and filmed in 1995 with the author writing the script. Eoin McNamee's next novel THE BLUE TANGO was nominated for the Man Booker prize in 2001. His 19 novels have been nominated for and won many other awards. Television credits include AN BRONNTANAS, RED ROCK , the highly successful Welsh drama HINTERLAND, and most recently, VALHALLA. He has written 8 radio plays, winning the Imison Award. He is currently Director of the Oscar Wilde Centre at Trinity College, Dublin.
