Stephen Crane is the author of the great war novel "The Red Badge of Courage" which he wrote at twenty-three years of age without ever having seen, or experienced war. "For the first time in fiction, here is sensitively, blazingly revealed the life and world of one of America's greatest writer's Stephen Crane. The truth itself holds all the ingredients of drama - rebellion, fear, compulsion, passion, love, courage, tragedy. In this ever-moving story Stephen Crane lives vividly in the world of fiction, surrounded by the real people he knew and the characters he created. Louis Zara has drawn on a richness of facts and an always faithful imagination to make an important biographical novel."
