D.A Bonavia-Hunt PEMBERLEY SHADES First Edition Signed 1949

First edition first print hardback of PEMBERLEY SHADES (the sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice) by D.A Bonavia-Hunt and published by Allan Wingate in 1949. Signed by Bonavia-Hunt on the title page. Rare, especially signed.

The book is in very good condition for its age (red cloth boards with faded black lettering to spine) with light age related wear. The book is in a fair price clipped dust jacket which has a large piece missing from the rear inner flap. The head of the spine is a little frayed and there are sundry small chips and tears. There is age browning to the inside of the jacket. Internally the pages are clean and tight and there are no tears or other inscriptions.

An early sequel to Jane Austen's beloved masterpiece takes place some three years after Elizabeth Bennett's marriage to Fitzwilliam Darcy.

318 pages.
